Grasmere Sports

The 2011 Annual Grasmere Lakeland Sports, now celebrating 159 years of existence, has been a regular annual event since 1868, unbroken except for the two periods of the First and Second World Wars.  Now one of the most popular traditional events in the English Lake District, participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland Wrestling, Fell Running and Hound Trails.
