Charlotte Rawstron, 18 from Otley is returning to Grasmere Sports Show this August to defend her Senior Ladies title. Charlotte, who runs for Skyrac Athletics Club, Yeadon, won the Wakefield Rose Bowl trophy last year for an incredible 16 minute and 3 second run, up and down 294 metres of Lakeland fell.
A committed and successful fell runner, Charlotte has previously won all age categories at the Grasmere Sports Show and has her sights set on beating the all time senior ladies record of 15 minutes and 5 seconds. This record was set by Victoria Wilkinson in 2017 and there is £500 up for grabs by anyone who can beat that time.
On the 40th Anniversary of women being able to compete in the event, could 2024 be Charlotte's year?
