GRASMERE SPORTS COMMITTEE LTD
We are all excited about bringing the Sports back again ...
Work is going full steam ahead on the 2022 Sports, and the focus is firmly on 'taking part', whether that is in the wrestling, fell races, hound trails or the dog show.
There will be lots for our younger visitors to do with fun children's races, lots of bikes to try - all in addition to the children's classes in the wrestling, fell races and dog show.
All our events (except the Dog Show) are free to enter and registration takes place on the day - it couldn't be easier to take part.
We are delighted to be hosting the Under 10's World Wrestling Championship - and we may see the stars of the future in action! Look out for the new wrestling categories for 2022 - designed to encourage lighter wrestlers and wrestlers under 21 years of age.
We are very much looking forward to seeing everyone again at the Sports Field on Sunday 28th August 2022. Gates open at 09:00 and the Bellman will get things going at 10:00.
You can contact the Sports and Field Manager, Deborah Black at [email protected] or 07977 542853

WONDER WHEELERS
Come and have a go on all manner of weird and wacky bicycles. Unicycles, Penny Farthings, bendy bikes, tall bikes, mini-bikes and mini-tandems, eccentric wheelers, circus bikes, balance trikes and more!
Try our un-rideable bicycle challenge – steer one-way and it goes the other!
Huge fun for all ages, participants and spectators!
Ridgeside Falconry
One of the largest falconry displays in the country and a static display of approximately 15-20 different birds of prey from all around the world.
Between the flying demonstrations you will have the chance to hold and be photographed with one of these magnificent birds.
Look out for the lurcher racing displays, which were so much fun in 2018 when they were last with us at Grasmere.

FAT CAT BRASS
After taking the 2019 Sports by storm, Fat Cat Brass will be back by popular demand. Who could forget their colourful performances and their unique take on a range of modern classics.
Look out for them strolling around the field as well as playing in the arena.
