Grasmere Sports Committee begins the New Year with a real intention to connect more strongly with all our communities and to help them.
We want to make better friends with farmers, hound trailers, fell runners, wrestlers, local schools and communities, the wider Lake District as well as visitors and tourists. While we address our own changing situation we're reaching out to others to find out what we can do for them in a
changing environment.
Last year we were astonished at the support everyone gave us in such bad weather. People came to the Sports and stewarded for the Sports in what was thought the heaviest rain on Sports Day since 1970. Our gratitude goes out to them and as a response this year there will be a larger area under cover, just in case.
